1890
The beginning of our story.
At the end of the nineteenth century, the Rabbia family’s great-great-grandfather founded the dairy in Ruffia. It marked the beginning of a bond between a family, milk and a place — a bond that would span five generations.
Early 1900s
Knowledge passed from hand to hand.
Successive generations supported the growth of the business and strengthened its roots in Piedmont. The tradition of working raw milk in the vat and the family recipe were passed down, together with the experience of those who kept them alive.
1980s–1990s
The value of great protected cheeses.
With the establishment of the protection consortia, the dairy championed PDO cheeses and became a reference point for the region’s recognised specialities. Our family’s knowledge became part of a shared heritage.
Today
The fifth generation. The same place.
The dairy continues to produce in Ruffia, with modernised facilities and a contemporary outlook. Today’s pasteurised-milk production celebrates a local supply chain, using milk from farms in the province of Cuneo. Tradition continues to evolve.
